This clan includes Zn-chelating domains with four conserved cysteine/histidine residues N-terminal to the catalytic domain found in most of the KDZ (Kyakuja, Dileera, and Zisupton) transposases. A subset of these elements contains further N- or C-terminal Zn-chelating domains, such as the TRMT1N-like domain, SWIM, C2H2 fingers, and CXC7 in Zisuptons and the ZZ finger in Kyakujas.hese domains could help recognize specific DNA sequences or chromatin proteins during integration [1].
