AIR synthase related protein, C-terminal domain Provide feedback

This family includes Hydrogen expression/formation protein HypE P24193 AIR synthases P08178 EC:6.3.3.1, FGAM synthase P35852 EC:6.3.5.3 and selenide, water dikinase P16456 EC:2.7.9.3. The function of the C-terminal domain of AIR synthase is unclear, but the cleft formed between N and C domains is postulated as a sulphate binding site [1].

Structures

For those sequences which have a structure in the Protein DataBank, we use the mapping between UniProt, PDB and Pfam coordinate systems from the PDBe group, to allow us to map Pfam domains onto UniProt sequences and three-dimensional protein structures. The table below shows the structures on which the AIRS_C domain has been found. There are 77 instances of this domain found in the PDB.
