InterPro entry IPR006433This entry represents the prohead protease from bacteriophage HK97 and related phages [PUBMED:7723020]. It is generally encoded next to the gene for the capsid protein that it processes, and in some cases may be fused to it. This entry includes putative prophage sequences, and putative components of Gene Transfer Agents (GTA) [PUBMED:11382219], such as ORFg4 (RCAP_rcc01686) of the GTA of Rhodobacter capsulatus (Rhodopseudomonas capsulata) [see Fig.1, in PUBMED:12399927].
