The YfhD-like protein family includes the B. subtilis YfhD protein O31572 which is functionally uncharacterised. Its expression is regulated by the sporulation-specific sigma factor sigma-F . This family of proteins is found in bacteria. Proteins in this family are approximately 50 amino acids in length. There is a single completely conserved residue E that may be functionally important.
